Rahul Shaw: Absolutely. I grew up in a middle-class family with big dreams. The desire to make something of myself and create a better life fueled my journey into the business world.
Q2: Your initial venture was in import and export. Can you tell us about the challenges you faced in the beginning?
Rahul Shaw: Starting an import and export business in India came with its share of challenges—logistics, regulations, and building connections. It required a lot of hard work and dedication to navigate through those hurdles, but slowly, my business began to grow.
Q3: You later expanded into kitchen equipment and real estate. How did these new ventures come about, and what motivated you to diversify?
Rahul Shaw: Diversification was crucial for me. I started RAHUL KITCHEN & OTHER EQUIPMENT to explore new markets and saw an opportunity in the real estate sector with RD Construction. It was about expanding my horizons and taking calculated risks.
Q4: Moving to the UAE was a bold move. What made you decide to explore that market, and how did it impact your business?
Rahul Shaw: The UAE presented immense opportunities. I wanted to expand my reach, and the vibrant business environment there was enticing. It allowed me to grow my import-export business and explore new ventures.
Q5: Error Brew and Pub in Siliguri is a notable achievement. What inspired you to enter the hospitality industry, and how has the response been?
Rahul Shaw: The success of my ventures led me to diversify further. Opening Error Brew and Pub was about offering a premium experience to the people of Siliguri. The response has been overwhelming, and it’s heartening to see people enjoying the space.
Q6: Your foray into the fashion industry with Tamsha Trading LLC is impressive. What drove you to venture into this sector, and how did you establish your brand in the UAE?
Rahul Shaw: The fashion industry was a new challenge. Tamsha Trading LLC was born out of a commitment to quality and staying ahead of the curve. Building a loyal customer base was key, and we focused on delivering top-notch products.
Q7: What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs, especially those facing challenges in their journey?
Rahul Shaw: Perseverance is key. Challenges will come, but staying dedicated to your goals and constantly evolving is crucial. Believe in your dreams, work hard, and success will follow.
Q8: How do you balance managing multiple businesses in different industries, and what strategies do you employ to ensure success in each venture?
Rahul Shaw: Balancing multiple businesses requires effective time management and a strong team. I delegate responsibilities and empower my teams to make decisions. Additionally, staying informed about industry trends and adapting strategies accordingly helps ensure success in each venture.

Rahul Shaw: One of the most challenging moments was during the initial phase of Error Brew and Pub. The hospitality industry comes with its unique set of challenges. Through meticulous planning and learning from mistakes, we were able to overcome these challenges.
